It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of Dennis Dodson. Dennis was a lifelong resident of the Fredericksburg area, owning his own State Farm insurance agency for over 40 years. Dennis played football for Virginia Tech in the early ’70s, where he was named the first recipient of the Frank Loria Award and named Player of the Year his senior year (1973). Dennis was active with many local organizations and charities, including our local alumni chapter and the local Hokie Club chapter. Dennis was a big part of planning both our annual Crab Fest and our annual golf tournament. Our hearts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
